Mark Wright is an actor known for wearing other people's faces! You might remember Mark Wright playing Ruth Richardson or Richard Long on the TV series Issues or recall him as a whole host of iconic kiwis in the Oddfellow ads.
For one weekend only, Mark brings a bunch of true ANZAC heroes to the Litt Park Theatre stage in Voices from Gallipoli. From the lad straight off the farm, to the grizzled sergeant dispensing advice. From the nurses fighting their own battles with disease and despair, to the Matron watching for wandering eyes. Mark gives voice to their experiences in a play that isn't just eye-opening and poignant, it is full of warmth and humour.
Mark is touring NZ and here are a few comments from audience feedback:
"You made me laugh. You made me cry. You B@&*ARD!" # "More than just stories, they are people" # "I didn't think it would be my thing but I'm coming back tomorrow with my mother and sister" # Heroic. Engaging. And utterly unforgettable.
"You put the humanity back in history"
Don't take others' word for it. Experience it for yourself at Litt Park Theatre.
TICKETS: $30 adults, $25 Seniors & $15 School students.
* Free entry to services in uniform (Ambulance, Fire, Police, Armed Forces)
Who we are
We are a passionate local theatre group with a proud legacy of entertaining our community for more than seven decades. As a Charitable Incorporated Society, our dedicated committee is elected annually, and every single member of our team is a volunteer — united by a love for the performing arts and a commitment to bring high quality theatre productions to life on a regular basis.
Why we do it
We proudly support community fundraising events and with every play season one of the nights is sold as a charity evening.
For us, theatre is more than just entertainment — it’s a powerful tool for enhancing well-being, building confidence, fostering connection, and enriching lives in ways that last long after the curtain falls.
We hope that you share our passion.
